This was my first Gate 1 trip but there will definitely be more. Thank you for providing an experience that I will forever cherish. Jason our tour director was fantastic. He even arranged an activity for a free afternoon. He was knowledgeable, engaging, accommodating, well organized, which made the trip, which has challenging logistics, a pleasure.
Panda & Joseph made the difference in my experience on the Namibia trip…you couldn’t ask for a better tour manager and driver. I trusted them with my safety and in their suggestions for activities and lunch options during their free time. WHEN I book a return trip to Namibia, it will definitely have to be with the both of them.
She could translate with local artists and knew the locations that might not be safe. She has a quick wit mongoose bmx and humor that brought a light-hearted charm to days that were long and cultures that are different from the ones we were more familiar with. Her knowledge gave us a depth of understanding of local history and cultures we experienced. Our trip was fantastic in every way one can imagine. Our interactions with the Gate 1 time prior to the trip was good.
I have been on a number of escorted trips, but this one was extra special. I do believe that Belinda is the reason why this particular trip was so special and why it stood out from all the other trips I’ve taken. This was my very first Gate 1 trip and because of how well Belinda took care of me, I will definitely take another Gate 1 trip as soon as possible.
The animals were more spectacular than I even imagined. The peace and justice issues with Mandela’s history were very impactful. There was a lot of bus riding, but the countryside is diverse and beautiful. Our group was diverse but what a well-traveled knowledgeable and fun-loving group of travelers!!! Our guide, Anni, was totally amazing. She was decisive, proactive and left no stone unturned when a problem turned up.
I can’t say enough about our spectacular trip to Tanzania with Shadows of Africa! Jake and Stacy helped our group of 8 plan our ideal adventure and handled every detail expertly. Don’s guidance and expertise combined to make our trip a “brilliant jewel” in the GATE 1 crown. Thank you, as always, for great memories. I just wanted to mention specifically how impressed we were with Jason as a guide. The South Africa trip had the most travel involved than any other Gate 1 trip and he seamlessly schwinn electric bike prepared us for each part of the journey. He never overwhelmed us with details, but he ensured we were always clear on what to expect. He was also attentive to each member of the group and was very knowledgeable at answering questions on a wide range of topics.
I just want to thank you for a wonderful experience. I had Jafar as my driver, and he was wonderful. Full of knowledge and a great personality. He had to put up with five women every day.
