700c Hyper E-Ride City Electric Bike

Shimano is a household name in the bike industry and supply parts for a number of manufacturers, so as far as the gear system goes, you are in good hands. You should have two light reflectors, two pedals, the bike seat and post, as well as the quick release lever to adjust the seat, some of these items are located in a small cardboard box that comes with the set. That said, there is also some truth in “you get what you pay for.” If you want an off-the-shelf, bulletproof mountain bike, you need to be ready to pony up some bucks and head down to your local bike shop.

Some buyers may not care about spending over $5,000 on an Ebike, but others will and that is where a more budget friendly option comes in to play. Since we have a specific hyper bike purpose for wanting Ebikes, we were already narrowing down our potential options and some of the more budget friendly bikes on the market. I stumbled across Hyper while perusing the Walmart website and started to dig in on what they had to offer.

Admittedly, neither of us are in peak physical condition, sitting around the 220 LBS mark for personal weight, but the bike hyper bicycles has a rider capacity of 275 LBS which is more than enough. Even if we were to load a bag for the day and our bows or crossbows, we wouldn’t even come close to hitting the maximum weight capacity. Beyond the rider weight, you can also use a trailer to take the strain off of your back and pull your gear behind you. With a long history of active, successful participation in the BMX and bicycle mass market industry, it was time to establish a similar position with the High-End Mountain Bike industry. The obvious choice to manage our entry into the Mountain Biking was longtime friend and MTB legend Eric Carter.

I can move thru the orange groves around here so much easier then before. This bike is quiet, so I have been able to get close to some of the wildlife roaming in these parts, (wild hogs, turkeys,etc.). I ride this bike almost every day and the battery has not given out on me so far. I have used this bike to help round up my neighbors cows from the orange groves when ever they decide to take a tour.

There are instances where that may be somewhat accurate because there are certainly some questionable bikes I’ve seen on the shelves at big-box stores. So I would ask them to define “good bike,” because the meaning of that can vary greatly from person to person. I weigh 190lbs and on a straight road, I get up to 19mph which is way faster then what I need. I go so many places on this bike that I would have never gone to if I had to do all the peddling.

The Extreme is a full-suspension electric mountain bike designed for maximum off-road performance, control, and comfort. The Sport and Extreme models are both shod with Pirelli tyres. Hyper Bicycles, Inc. was established in 1990 by former BMX Pro Clay Goldsmid.

First, slide the front reflector light onto the handlebars and tighten it up using your Philips head screwdriver. Proceed to slide the handlebars onto the bike’s body, it should slide down without any problems. If it gets stuck, adjust the rotating screw at the bottom of the handlebar so that it aligns correctly with the bike’s body and slide it in place. Do both the screw that connects to the body and the other top screw at the top of the handlebars.

If you don’t want to pedal continuously, you don’t have to. If you are maxing this bike out at weight capacity and going up a steep hill, you will need to put a bit more effort in. There is only so much a motor can do and you shouldn’t expect an Ebike to have the same towing capacity as an ATV. The Hyper MTB Ebike is honestly one of the most reasonably priced Ebikes that I have come across while scouring the web. One of the biggest things that we were looking for was a bike that was a fit physically and also had enough capability to haul additional weight for our gear when hunting.

I’d say that you can comfortably expect the ride time of your hyper Ebike to live up to the manufacturers description. Hyper states that the MTB Ebike has a battery life of 1 hour or 20 miles and I tested this out to see how my bike fared in the wild. All that was required on my end was installing the handlebars, pedals, and battery. The trouble with ATVs is of course the amount of noise they make when you are using them.

I tried this for several years, and when I actually checked the pressure with a gauge it varied by 3-5psi despite feeling the same as the prior pump. That discrepancy was too wide for me, and I now use a digital gauge to dial in the numbers before every ride. It adds 1-2 seconds to the hyper bike ride-prep process, affords me some mental security on the rocks, and provides the ability to more accurately test tires and wheels. The reality is that each new feature has to either increase price or take away from something else to compensate.
