Best Ozark Cooler Medium

We must admit that the huge price cut and supposed similar ice retention and features are tempting. The next essential piece to a cooler that can hold ice for long periods is a thick rubber gasket. Sure enough, Ozark Trail has sourced a freezer-grade gasket that is eerily similar to what you will find on much more expensive coolers on the market. We offer a limited lifetime warranty on all of our products upon registration. If you don’t care about brand names and are pretty careful with spills, I would go with the Ozark Trail tumbler. Other than the lid, it works nearly identically to the Yeti tumbler at a much lower price.

Though it’s a bit too tall to be able to leave in place when we want to make the bed, it fits just fine on the front seat. If you have a bigger van though, it would double as an additional seat in the cabin. How does this compare to some of the premium coolers on the market such as Yeti?

The weather was in the high 90s during the test, the coolers were in full sun for most of the morning, and we opened them several times throughout the day. The ice melted in the Coleman in 24 hours and the YETI in 48 hours. What I found most fascinating about this test is that the water in the YETI stayed cold for three additional days after the ice melted. The water was cold enough that had the gallon jugs been milk, we would have been able to drink out of them for three days after the ice melted. All-in-all, the YETI lasted for five days and the Coleman for one day.

This chair’s big canopy provides ample sun protection at a campsite or sporting event, and it doubles as a backpack-strap-equipped carrying case. Several Wirecutter staffers have owned the Coleman chair for years, using it on camping trips, in backyards, and at sporting events. For the most part, it’s held up well, but one common quibble is that the seat bottom begins to sag after several years of use. Like others in its category, this chair comes with an over-the-shoulder carry bag, but some testers found it was light and compact enough to carry without the case. Camping chairs can also be reasonably priced, casual (albeit less comfy and less durable) alternatives to patio furniture, if you don’t mind the lack of aesthetic appeal. I’ve lived in Southern California, Washington, and the home state of Vermont.

We really tried to buy a cheaper cooler but the universe wanted us to buy a YETI. Remember last summer when we spent over $100 on ice for our two week ozark trail canopy trip to Montana? If you would like to read about how not to pack a cooler click here to read about it. If you are lucky and receive a model that has the quality issues discussed above ironed out, Ozark Trail Coolers are one of the best bargains in the industry right now. To start with, you will find an oversized drain that makes short work of any melted ice that is inside.

Being made from heavy-duty PVC, I could tell it’s a quality product suitable for all kinds of adventures without worrying about it breaking or tearing. However, one downside I noticed was that the air valve’s location made inflating it somewhat inconvenient. I was able to fill the Lifetime High Performance Cooler with 62.4 quarts of water without causing it to overflow when I shut the lid. The performance data on this little cooler is excellent, ozark trail chair with the lowest temperature reached and the lowest average temperature of the bunch.

No other chair in our testing pool—except perhaps the extremely pricey Yeti Trailhead—came close to matching the King Kong’s build quality. This time-tested classic is reasonably priced, roomy, and dependable enough to last for years. It’s not our lightest, most comfortable, or toughest pick, but it’s close enough, and it’s reasonably priced. The sizes of the Ozark Cooler range from small to extra-large, with dimensions that vary from 23 inches to 37 inches in length and 13 inches to ozark cooler 17 inches in width. Make sure to choose the size that best fits your needs and the amount of food and drinks you plan to carry with you on your outdoor adventures.

Also, the stainless steel hardware and orange accents on the latches and handles look very sharp. We hope that in the future, Ozark Trail decides to expand on the color choices and perhaps have some customization options as well. Ozark Trail, despite their best intentions, doesn’t quite live up to the level of ice retention and toughness of a Yeti. While they do have many of the same features, there are more notable quality issues with Ozark Trail models. This can include things such as premature leaking, warping of the lid, and stitching coming undone.
