Tire pressure is one of the most important pieces of pre-ride bike setup, and it’s worth playing around with different numbers to find what feels best for you. The biggest problem I’ve seen is improper assembly and setup. Even a big-name bike can give a miserable experience if it isn’t set up properly. And sadly, this is an area in which most big-box stores are lacking.

This cutting-edge equipment provides a great way for riders to travel faster, farther, and more comfortably than ever before. Certain trails and weather conditions call for different tire pressures. A lot of folks like to drop their tire pressure slightly to achieve more grip on muddy trails and raise it for fast rocky tracks or jump sessions. The difference between those condition-specific pressures is often 1-3 PSI, and it’s important to know how much air is inside the rubber so you can adjust it in the right direction. Loads of riders check their pressure with the hyper bike palm of their hand, using feel to determine how much air is inside.

In my mind, I was envisioning a cold November evening having hyper mountain bike hunted all day and facing a ride back to camp with all of my gear. One feature about the Hyper MTB Ebike that I really like is that the battery is removable. I think Apple started us down a path of non-removable batteries that a lot of electronics manufacturers have adopted but, the trouble with that is that it isn’t user friendly. With the Hyper MTB Ebike, you can charge your bike with the battery installed or removed, which I personally love.

As far as the ride goes, this bike is really comfortable and well built. This model has a 29″ frame built for riders 6′ and up, but Hyper also has a comparable bike with a 26″ frame for riders below 6′. It also comes stock with a Shimano 6 grip shifter and Shimano rear derailleur.

Pull the brake pads out the way if you need to and slide the fork onto the tire. Be careful removing the bike because the box has sharp staples holding it together. Some people recommend using pliers to remove the staples first, but I found it easier to just carefully pull the bike free; do which ever method works best for you. If your handlebars are tangled, proceed to rotate them around either clockwise or counter-clockwise to untangle them. Sadly I cannot give further instructions because it depends on how the handlebars tangle, but if you carefully look it over you should be able to follow the wires to straighten it all out. I don’t do many reviews but these bikes are so good, I just had to!

It’s easy to get lulled into buying the flashy mountain-styled bikes on store shelves. They always have eye-catching paint jobs, and some are full suspension — all for cheap. But on a mountain bike, weight can really drag down the enjoyment.
