We had several “National Geographic” moments, including a mother lion with 3 cubs, who was in the process of moving her family to a drier setting. We were able to watch her carry the smallest kitten (approximately 3 weeks old!), and see the other cubs follow her in the grass.
Thanks for showing me the best of South Africa. We just returned Friday from the 16-day South Africa trip. And we wanted you to know that Laurence or TG was the absolute best. And you should be proud of him as an employee. He went out of his way to please everyone in the group. He is the best guide we have ever had.
There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer regarding the animals, the birds and the trees. He was the 1st to spot an animal far-off in the distance and other guides were quick to follow him. You are so lucky to have him representing you and caring for your clients….

Climbing on big daddy dune, bush dinners and the game drives at Etosha National Park were the highlights. Silver was a great guide and provided us with useful information and interesting history. James was the driver and kept us safe on the drives.
The animals were more spectacular than I even imagined. The peace and justice issues with Mandela’s history were very impactful. There was a lot of schwinn electric bike bus riding, but the countryside is diverse and beautiful. Our group was diverse but what a well-traveled knowledgeable and fun-loving group of travelers!!! Our guide, Anni, was totally amazing. She was decisive, proactive and left no stone unturned when a problem turned up.
The food in Namibia was delicious and I was able to try some very interesting foods including game meats and mopane worms. The visits to the tribes were another unique experience as well as the visit to the Mondessa township. The music and dancing that each visit brought was a moving experience.

It was so much more than just the safari game drives and river excursions – though those were numerous and spectacular! Of course, we saw (up close) the Big Five and more! It is amazing to be directly within the wildlife’s own habitat. You are in the cage, and the animals roam free! At one time a lioness strolled by within 2 feet of my shoulder.
