Large Tent 12 Person Ozark Trail general for sale by owner craigslist

When the fly is fully deployed, the tent has two vestibules, which provide additional gear storage and also help ventilate the tent in inclement weather. And in a stroke of design brilliance, a small loop sewn into the top of the fly makes ozark tent it possible to roll up one half of the fly, exposing the full mesh canopy while still providing shade and privacy. Having a separate rain fly for a 2- or 3- person tent makes sense because multiple people can split up the weight a little easier on longer hikes.

My estimate of ozark trail chair the total protected area here is around 222 ft² (20 m²), or perhaps a bit more. It is easy to come to this value; you have a square and divide it in 3 x 3 equal units and then subtract 4 units. The remaining units will create the “cross” tent structure as you have it here, see the picture below. At least it is easy to clean and provides bug protection. Again, I AM a soldier with nearly 30 years experience in putting tents together. This Ozark Trail tent is, sorry to say this, a POS. This piece of crap promises the buyer a lot for a lot of money, but what you get is something of lesser quality than if you bought a tent from the local Dollar store.

An ideal tent for a family—plenty of set-up room and one tough tent. Our lower scorers in this metric generally received lower scores because of their weight and size. However, it’s important to note that some canopies are not as portable because they’re constructed of higher-quality, heavier, and thicker materials. Canopies in this category are the Eurmax, Quick-Set Escape, E-Z UP Pyramid, Caddis Rapid Shelter, and Caravan Canopy V-Series. The Eurmax and E-Z Up both received lower portability scores because they are heavy and more difficult to lift from the car to the ground. Likewise, they are larger and more difficult to fit into a smaller vehicle.

Layout wise is virtually identical to the Core Instant Cabin we evaluated for our 10 person tent roundup, but delivers those same massive interior dimensions for about $100 less. But ultimately, I think you get what you pay for. I didn’t pay much for this tent (just slightly over $100), and I don’t think there’s any other brand apart from Ozark Trail that you can buy a 10-person tent for this price.

I had no issues with the guylines, though it would be nice if they were reflective at night. The mesh doesn’t exactly feel soft and silky, and I’m pretty sure it’s not no-see-um mesh, though it’ll keep the bigger bugs out. Some parts of the stitching aren’t that great as well, and there were fairly big holes, especially where the guylines are connected to the main tent body. I also found a bunch of loose threads on the floor when I first got into the tent, and excess material on some parts. The pole structure is very simple, there are only 8 guylines in total, and the stakes aren’t your super high-quality stakes. For ventilation, this Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent has a lot of mesh on the roof of the tent.
